Family involvement and interest in a child's Jewish education is an essential part of the learning process. Not only does it show parents as Jewish learning role models, but it also gives families the opportunity to learn together and continue the school conversation at home.
In addition to parents participating in school-wide family holiday celebrations, each grade will hold one Sunday morning Family Education day. The themes for each grade is as follows
K/1st Grade: Jewish Bedtime Rituals OR Jewish Morning Rituals (alternating years)
2nd and 3rd Grade: Shabbat Rituals at Home OR B'reishit (Creation): (alternating years)
4th Grade: Middot (Jewish values)
5th Grade: My Family Values and the World Wide Wrap
6th Grade: Bar/Bat Mitzvah Workshop
*In addition, 2nd Grade Parents will participate in an additional program for parents only (while their children are in class) in preparation of the Siddur Ceremony.
